					<description><![CDATA[[&#8230;] Dan Meyer&#8217;s famous Graphing Stories  continue to be useful to me as a high school algebra teacher as I move more into inquiry based learning to engage my students. Here&#8217;s an example of how students can develop Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for algebra while they developÂ collaborative skills for our high-tech society. Â 1) Â I played the graphing story Elevation vs. Time and had students draw rough estimates of the graph as Dan suggested. Â 2) Â Then I provided equations for the piece-wise function in scrambled order, one per pair. 3) Â Students went to Desmos.com (one computer per pair), most of them for the first time. Â 4) Â As a class, we discussed and graphed the first line segment or two, and they crossed those off their scrambled list. Â Then they took turns entering line segments to complete and share their graphs with me. [&#8230;]]]></description>
