Since I get called in to translate for lots of these folks as they come and go I can relate. You can tell the kids are distant, almost invisible. Then they meet the teacher that treats them like they’re worth something, and then they’re gone.

Yup, it stinks, doesn’t it? Imagine how hard it would be if you could communicate? Trust me, it’s harder because there is never anything I can do to prevent the harsh reality of that life.
