I've been calling them "The Gulf War Miniseries" for as long as I can remember. Funny.

I don't know Milch, but I loved Sippowitz above all other characters on NYPD Blue, and I have a long drive to my folks' coming up. Maybe just the right opportunity for listening to the interview. Thanks.

I liked his comment on writing reprehensible characters. I can't figure out how this fits in my teaching, but it has a nice feel for my life. Really raw stuff, but I've been in that state a lot myself lately.

The part on how the public seems to view the war in Iraq as a series that should have been ended/cut, and is still on the air, and how annoying this is was pretty brilliant too. I still prefer Colbert's analysis after Bush's re-election which hit on the essential truth that folks outside NYC and DC seemed to take 9/11 more personally than folks in the "epicenter" which was pretty strange.

Thanks for Dorn link in your sidebar, that was great too.
